About Us

The Story of Future Generation International Missions Inc.

Future Generation International Missions Inc. (FGIM) was started in 2007 in Tampa, Fla., by Pierre and Lorphine St. Louis. They have a heart for the Haitian people and a desire to see lives transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lorphine was born and raised in Haiti as a house slave. She immigrated to Florida at the age of 18. After she and Pierre, who also has Haitian roots, met and married in 2007, they responded to God’s call to return to Haiti to serve the impoverished nation. View Lorphine’s story.

Who Are We?

FGIM is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves the people of Haiti through a number of ministries. The organization was officially established on February 5, 2009. Prior to 2009, Pierre and Lorphine organized several humanitarian aid missions across the island. Following the 2010 earthquake, they noticed an increase in the number of orphans living on the streets. God impressed upon them the need to open an orphanage, and in 2012, Faith House Orphanage opened its doors.

In 2014, FGIM launched New Perspectives Preparatory Academy, which provides a high-quality education to the girls living at Faith House, as well as children from the local community. New Perspectives Preparatory Academy offers a Christian-based general education, as well as English language and life skills courses to include computer science, sewing, knitting and embroidery, jewelry-making, agriculture and cooking.

In 2015, Pierre and Lorphine moved with their three children to Jacmel, Haiti, to operate the orphanage and school on a full-time basis. Within six months, they planted a local a church in their community. New Perspectives Church of Jacmel offers weekly services, youth outreach, music classes and choir. Additionally, the church provides English-as-a-second-language courses.

FGIM also offers service opportunities for individuals and churches interested in assisting the Haitian people and its ministries through short-term missions.
